Event Description
Using Logic X we will focus the session on a disco classic stem remix. This is a hugely popular area of the music industry with the producers such as Dave Lee, The Reflex, John Morales & Dimitri From Paris all gaining notoriety by re-producing legendary anthems from the 1970’s & 80’s golden era and bringing them to the new generation.
From the original multi tracks we will time stretch with flexi-time ‘The Boss’ by Diana Ross.
- Discuss the song, it’s history and importance.
- Import the stems into Logic.
- Assess the original BPM and discuss in detail flexi-time and how to stretch onto the grid.
- Breakdown & organise the track into its basic components, drums, bass, music and vocals
- Create a solid strong structure to enable creativity & a good production process.
- Produce & mix the song by using reverb, EQ & compression.
