In this session, you will look at sample interpolation, how to do it and why it is a useful skill to develop both for your music and as a professional producer. You will take an example track, deconstruct it, extrapolate out individual elements, and subsequently reconstruct it using simple tools in your DAW.

Ali has worked for leading sound design agencies including Splice, Replay Heaven, Play’n Go and Sample Magic and has had his work featured on numerous hit records (Duke Dumont, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Spinnin’ Records, Kryder, Tom Staar, Mambo Brothers and more).
He operates as a producer, media composer and engineer out of a small private boutique studio in central London, housing a plethora of vintage and modern outboard gear, microphones and synthesisers.
He also teaches Creative Production and Remix at pointblank as well as heading the 'Understanding Music Theory' Foundation module. In addition, he has taught sound design and composition and teaches, peripatetically, at the prestigious performing and creative arts institution The BRIT School in Croydon.
